In October 2024, our team delivered and installed a 300 kVA isolation transformer for a solar farm located in Utah, USA. The client’s system uses a Deye three-phase hybrid inverter with an output of 3 Phase 480V, while the actual farm equipment and loads require single-phase 120/240V. To ensure proper voltage compatibility, we supplied a custom-built transformer to convert 3-phase 480V to single-phase 120/240V, perfectly matching the local farm load requirements.
Utah's desert-like climate brings summer temperatures above 40°C (104°F). To combat this heat and ensure stable transformer operation, we equipped the unit with an integrated high-performance cooling system, including fans and an internal air conditioning module. This effectively controls the internal temperature, even in extreme heat, ensuring safe and efficient performa.
The transformer is housed in a weatherproof cabinet, located under the PV structure for additional shading, with analog meters for voltage and current monitoring. The installation site is a scenic farm surrounded by livestock and nature, demonstrating the seamless integration of renewable energy infrastructure with agricultural operations.
This project showcases our ability to deliver custom-engineered transformer solutions for hybrid energy systems in challenging climate conditions, with a strong focus on compatibility, reliability, and temperature resilience.
